Sled

The SLED is designed to protect the end of all forms of permanent and temporary portable barriers, including concrete, steel, and plastic. Its unique design incorporates four internal steel cables that help wrap around the impacting vehicle, reducing the potential for secondary crashes. It requires no anchor bolts for attachment to the roadway or bridge. The complete crash cushion can be quickly installed with just a pickup truck and two workers on compacted earth, gravel, decomposed granite, asphalt, or concrete. Each SLED module is constructed of high-visibility yellow polyethylene, UV-stabilized to minimize degradation.
